Chie Mihara Men's!?

Hi everybody! My name is Ayaka. I am one of what Fabiana calls a 'Daisy Girl,' which is to say, I work for the wonderful Zelayas :) It has been over 6 weeks since I started working here, so some of our frequent customers have already seen me working in the store. But if you do not know me, I am looking forward to meeting you in person some time soon!!

Well, I would like to talk about a good find from last night. One of the big shipments we got recently at Zelaya Shoes included 2 reordered styles from Chie Mihara and Chip and Daquelo, which have been selling really fast. Chie Mihara is the owner Tony Zelaya's favorite by far. He just can't stop talking about them!

For example: "Ayaka, these shoes sells by themselves, I just have to have customers try them on, and they fall in love with them!!" (Tony)

And I have to agree that he is right... Most customers, after having tried them on, took a pair or two. Tony loves the shoes, and he mentioned that he wondered in a Facebook conversation if the men's version would be as comfortable. Well, these are for you Tony.

Last night, I was reading one of my favorites 'Women's Wear Daily,' and found that Chie Mihara has started a men's line beginning in S/S 2010. Unfortunately the line is not officially sold in the U.S. yet. (She said in the interview with WWD that she was going to wholesale in the German, French, and Italian Market to begin with.)

But Tony, you should be one of the first guy in the U.S. to have a pair!!!

The most fashionable award of the week goes to Julia! Julia shopped Zelaya's Fit in Clouds ballet shoes as her shopping buddy, mom shopped for summer dresses. Julia knew exactly what all girls need as she shopped our shoe selection. Julia's pick of the day silver sequenced flats that give the girl on the go, comfort, and practicality. These flats fold to fit even the smallest clutch.

It's been so long since we have updated our blog... But we are back again!!! For our first post in a few years, we'd like to start with the new layout of the store. It was not a big change, but we integrated Zelaya Shoes and Daisy Too a bit and created a more friendly atmosphere!! We love it and we hope our customers will like it. Also, we put pictures of the Zelaya boys on the wall, and we think it will create a heartwarming feeling in the store. Again, we love it, and we hope you will think the same :D
